Health Minister Himanta Sarma's absurd statement says no corona in Assam, don't wear mask

Guwahati: is the last day of campaigning for the third phase of voting. Voting is to be held in 40 assembly seats for the final phase. Earlier, Assam Health Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Himanta Biswa Sarma has given a peculiar statement. He has said that the people of Assam are no longer required to apply masks to avoid the coronavirus, as the virus is no longer in the province. Please tell that this statement of Sarma has come at a time when the cases of corona are continuously increasing in the whole country.

Actually, Himanta Biswa Sarma during an interview said that people are increasing the fear of wearing masks, whereas in Assam there is no need to wear masks. He also said that when there is a need to wear masks in the province, he will tell. He further said, 'We have to revive the economy as well. How will beauty parlors run if we wear masks? It is also necessary to walk the beauty parlor. We are speaking to the people that this is an interim relief. The day I feel corona, everybody will have to wear a mask on that day'.

According to the Union Health Ministry, 93,249 new cases of Corona were registered on Sunday. With this, the number of infection cases in the country has increased to 1.24 million. The number of dead has increased to 1,64,623 with the loss of 513 people due to this epidemic in one day.
