The Hirakhand Express derailed in Andhra Pradesh last night in which 26 people died and many passengers suffered injuries. The incident is said to be likely occured around 11 PM when coaches of Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Express derailed in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. J P Mishra, Chief PRO of East Coast Railway as per the sources news said "Seven coaches and the engine of the 18448 Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Express derailed near Kuneru station. Besides the engine, the luggage van, two general coaches, two sleeper coaches, one AC three tier coach and an AC two tier coach derailed," Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today has announced the compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the family of dead persons while RS 25,000 for injured and Rs 50,000 for the seriously injured ones.
