Movement intensifies before Ayodhya verdict, Home Ministry gives security instructions to UP government

New Delhi: The verdict of the apex court in Ayodhya Ram temple and Babri Masjid case is expected soon. Therefore, the Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure all security preparations in Ayodhya. 

The ministry has alerted the Uttar Pradesh government through a circular issued last week on the orders of Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, citing intelligence information regarding the terror threat. The state government has been instructed to deploy maximum police force. At the same time, An eye should be kept on social media to stop rumours from spreading. 

According to a source, a public address system has also been asked to operate in Ayodhya. It is feared that anti-social elements may provoke religious sentiments of people. Therefore, in the circular, the UP government has also been directed to keep an eye on the highly sensitive areas in the state and to deploy police forces at specific places.
