Raipur: A horrific accident took place on the National Highway in Chhattisgarh's Sarguja last night. The sumo vehicle loaded with police personnel overturned uncontrollably after being hit by a passenger bus. Five policemen were badly injured in the accident. All the injured were taken to the nearby Lakhanpur Hospital in a Sanjeevani Express 108 ambulance. Where the injured were treated by doctors and nurses on night duty. Accident in overtake: Information has been received from Royal Bus No. CG04/MS/8542 via Ambikapur-Bilaspur National Highway-130, which was on its way from Ambikapur towards Raipur with passengers. On the same route, some police personnel from Balrampur district had also left for Bilaspur in sumo vehicle number CG03/4627. Who had reached near Gudri Bazar in Lakhanpur at around 11:00 pm. Internal injuries to police personnel: In the accident, five jawans in the sumo vehicle also suffered internal injuries in their hands, legs and several body parts. The passengers on the bus were safe. As soon as information about the accident was received on the national highway, Ramdas Paikra, driver of Sanjivani Express Ambulance 108, EMT Harish Rajak rushed to the spot and took the injured police personnel to Lakhanpur Community Health Centre for treatment.
