How to make poha chilla at home

Material

To make Poha Cheela, you will need the following ingredients:

1 cup Poha 1/2 cup curd 1 cup finely chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped carrots Green coriander leaves (chopped) 1-2 green chillies (finely chopped) 1 tsp grated ginger 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder salt to taste Oil (for frying)

Method of making

Soaking Poha : Firstly wash the Poha thoroughly and then soak it in water for 15 minutes.

Preparing the mixture : Take out the soaked poha from the water and keep it in a plate. Now put poha, curd, onion, carrot, green coriander, green chili, ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt in a large bowl and mix well.

To bake the chilla : Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame and apply some oil in the pan. Now spread a spoonful of this mixture in the pan. When it becomes golden and crispy on both sides, take it out in a plate.

Serving : Serve hot Poha Cheela with green chutney or curd.

Tips for making it more delicious

You can also add vegetables like peas, capsicum etc to the cheela as per your choice. If you want a low calorie cheela, then instead of oil you can cook it by sprinkling some water.
