How to save your matte paint of bike for becoming gloss?

New Delhi: There are a few steps you can take to keep your bike's matte finish and prevent it from becoming glossy:

1. Avoid using abrasive cleaners: When cleaning your bike, avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can potentially remove the matte finish. Instead, opt for mild soap or specialized bike cleaners designed for matte finishes.

2. Wash your bike gently: Use a soft sponge or cloth to wash your bike, and avoid scrubbing too vigorously. Gentle cleaning will help maintain the matte texture.

3. Dry your bike properly: After washing, make sure to dry your bike thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid using air blowers or high-pressure water as they can potentially damage the matte finish.

4. Wax with matte-specific products: Some matte-specific wax or sealant products are available in the market. These products are designed to enhance and protect matte finishes without adding gloss. Follow the instructions on the product carefully to apply the wax or sealant correctly.

5. Protect the bike from the sun: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause the matte finish to fade or become glossy. Whenever possible, park your bike in a shaded area or use a cover to protect it from direct sunlight.

6. Avoid unnecessary contact: Try to avoid unnecessary contact with your bike's surfaces, especially when wearing clothing or gear that could potentially leave marks or transfer gloss onto the matte finish.

7. Regular maintenance: Keep up with regular maintenance to prevent any scratches or damages to the bike's paint. Addressing minor issues promptly will help preserve the overall appearance.
