Today we will tell you about how and where Lord Ganesha was born?

Recognition about the birth of Shri Ganesh

Shri Ganesh, who holds an important place in Hinduism, is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is believed that the birth of Ganesha was born near Dodital, about 23 km from Sangam Chitti in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is a popular belief that this is the place where Goddess Parvati used to come for a bath. One day Goddess Parvati created a little boy statue with her Ubatan.

Goddess Parvati, after creating the idol with her Ubatan, put life in it. In this way, Lord Ganesha originated at a place called Dodital and it became the birthplace of Shri Ganesh. It is mentioned in the Kedar section of Skanda Purana. Today the temple of Goddess Parvati is built on Dodital. Devotees come here to worship.

Why did Goddess Parvati build the statue of Ubatan

The construction of the statue from Ubatan was suggested to Goddess Parvati by her friends Jaya and Vijaya. She had told Goddess that Nandi etc. all obey Lord Shiva's command, while there should be someone to help you. After this, Shri Ganesh was born from Goddess Parvati.
