Amreen Sultana narrates her ordeal, persecution in Saudi in the name of work

A case of human trafficking has come to light in Hyderabad. On this matter, a woman says that her daughter has been sent to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for allegedly human trafficking and she has been trapped there for the last three years. She was only 16 years old when she was sent to Saudi. The woman has sought help from the government to bring her back.

According to media reports, the girl's name is Amreen Sultana and her mother's name is Syeda Sultana. The victim's mother told the Indian embassy and government in Riyadh, "In 2017, three years ago an agent named Chand contacted us and offered my daughter a job in Riyadh as a beautician."

Regarding this matter, she said, 'The agent said that my daughter will get 20 to 25 thousand rupees as salary. Since we were not financially strong and my husband is dead, my daughter accepted the offer and left Hyderabad. The agent sent him to Riyadh instead of sending him to Dammam. In Riyadh, he has kept her like a domestic servant. Sultana said, 'They beat him. They have not paid any salary to my daughter and she is stuck in Riyadh for the last three years.
