New Delhi: By early 2024, Hyundai will introduce the Tata punch rival under the Ai3 codename in India. In the most recent development, a production-ready test mule of the upcoming vehicle covered in camouflage was spotted, providing vital design information. As per the images, the car will get alloy wheels, flared wheel arches and roof rails. There could be two petrol engine options to support it. The demand for micro-SUVs is growing rapidly in India and the Tata Punch is being well received by the customers. Hyundai has taken note of this demand and is trying to capitalize on it by releasing the AI3 model. The South Korean automaker currently does not offer any compact SUV in India below the VENUE. So, the release of AI3 will undoubtedly increase the sales of the company. The projector LED headlights on the Hyundai Ai3 will feature L-shaped elements, a massive air dam and a powerful bonnet. Roof rails, blackened pillars, dual-tone ORVMs, flared wheel arches, body cladding and fashionable alloy wheels will surround it. The rear of the car should feature shark-fin antennas and LED taillights. Both a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine and a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine could be used to power the Hyundai Ai3, each producing 82 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. An AMT or a 5-speed manual gearbox should be used for transmission. A touchscreen infotainment system should be built in with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and voice control. The safety of passengers will be ensured by the presence of multiple airbags, ABS, EBD and a rear-view camera. But the starting price of the vehicle is around Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
