New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of ICC Women's World Cup to be held in 2022 on Tuesday. The tournament, to be played from March 4 to April 3, will be held in New Zealand. Earlier this World Cup was going to happen this year, but it was extended till 2022 due to the global epidemic coronavirus. The Indian women's team will start their campaign on March 6, but with whom will be known after the qualifiers. Currently, apart from India, only Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa have qualified for the World Cup, the other three teams will be decided by the qualifying tournament in Sri Lanka next year in June-July. This will be the 11th edition of the Women's World Cup. In 1973, England hosted the World Cup for the first time. Since then, English women have become champions of this tournament four times. Australia has won the final of this tournament for the most number of times. New Zealand has succeeded once. The Indian women's team, which has played two finals, will give up its life for its first World Cup.
