New Delhi: To ignite the internet, the International Cricket Council (ICC) published a picture of Bollywood celebrity Shah Rukh Khan holding the ODI World Cup trophy. Having already begun the trophy tour last month, the BCCI is prepared to host the massive ICC competition later this year. Shahrukh can be seen gazing intently at the prized trophy in a shot posted on Twitter by the ICC on Wednesday. “King Khan #CWC23 Trophy It’s nearly here …" ICC captioned the post. Over 1,50,000 people liked the same photo on Instagram in the same period of time. Shahrukh frequently mentions how much he enjoys playing cricket, and he even owns the Kolkata Knight Riders, an IPL cricket team. Additionally, he owns teams in the Caribbean Premier League, Major League Cricket, and the ILT20 League in the UAE. SRK has previously been spotted cheering for the Indian cricket team from the stands, with the 2007 T20 World Cup Final standing out. Speaking about the Trophy Tour, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said, “The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour is an important milestone in the countdown to what will be the biggest ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup ever.
