New Delhi: A relief study has emerged amid the fast-moving corona vaccination in the country. A study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has revealed that a dose of vaccine (Covid Vaccine) reduces the risk of death by 82 percent. On the other hand, if both doses are inplace, the risk of death is reduced by 95 percent. The study was conducted on 1,17,524 tamil nadu police department (Tamil Nadu Police) jawans. Through this study, deaths due to corona infection were to be estimated among the policemen who had taken the vaccine and did not take the vaccine. The study was conducted between February 1, 2021 and May 14, 2021. There were 32,792 policemen in the study who took the same dose of the vaccine. 67,673 policemen involved in the study had taken both doses. There were also 17,059 who did not take the vaccine. According to the study, 31 policemen died of corona between April 13, 2021 and May 14, 2021. Of these, 4 were those who had taken both doses, while 7 had the same dose. Meanwhile, 20 of those who did not take the vaccine lost their lives. The study revealed that the vaccine is effective in preventing corona deaths. While the risk of death was as low as 82 percent among the policemen who had taken a single dose, the risk of death among the two dose-taking policemen was up to 95 percent.
