Wednesday;June 22, 2016: Kerala government has decided to constitute a cord of people's committees to make sure manufacture and supply of illicit liquor and create alertness about its dangers.
According to the official release, “The committees, to be set up at the corporation and municipality levels, will have government officials, political activists and representatives of youth outfits as members”
Release further added, “The corporation level committee will have the respective corporation mayor as the chairman and assistant excise commissioner as convener along with other members, while the municipal-level committee will be headed by municipal chairman”
