In a raid on a building in Kabul, Taliban forces kill three members of Daesh

Islamabad: In an overnight operation in the Afghan capital of Kabul, Taliban intelligence forces killed three Daesh militants and detained one, an official reported on Tuesday.

According to Khalil Hamraz, a Taliban-appointed spokesman for Afghanistan's general director of intelligence, the raid on a residential building was directed against Daesh militants who were behind recent attacks in the capital.

He described the target as a significant Daesh hideout in the Karti Naw neighborhood. The claims of the government received no immediate response from Daesh. Three members of Daesh were killed during the operation, and one militant was taken into custody. The troops also grabbed weapons and military hardware, he said.
