Ind vs Sa: India beats South Africa by an innings and 202 runs to clinch series 3-0

Ranchi: India has defeated South Africa in the third and final Test being played in Ranchi. With this victory, India has won the series by 3 - 0. India won this match by a big margin of innings and 202 runs. After 84 years, such an occasion has come when the South African team has lost three consecutive Test matches. This is the first time in the history of Test cricket that South Africa has been given a clean sweep by the Indian team in the Test series. Virai Kohli has become the first captain to do this feat.

No Indian captain has been able to sweep South Africa in the Test series before this. Apart from this, Virat has become the first Indian captain to win South Africa in two consecutive Tests by a margin of innings and runs. South Africa last lost two or more Test matches against Australia in 1935 with a difference of consecutive innings and runs. In a series in 1935–36, Australia defeated South Africa in three consecutive matches with a difference of innings and runs.

The Indian team has done the same against the team headed by Faf Duplecy. With winning this test series, India has made a world record of winning the most consecutive Test series at home. The Indian team has so far won a total of 11 series on home soil under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli. In this case, India has left behind Australia, who have won 10-10 Test series in their country twice.
