IND VS WI Live: Prithvi Shaw hit 50, becomes India's second youngest Test debutant opener

Mumbai's young batsman, Prithvi Shaw, who was included in the playing eleven for the first Test against the West Indies, hit the tremendous half-century in his debut match on the soil of Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium, Rajkot-Gujrat. With this Prithvi Shaw has become the youngest-ever Indian to score a half-century on debut. The teenager achieved the landmark with a single of Roston Chase. Now a super ton means 100 is on the cards for him and the batsman will eye that impalpable three-figure mark. He hit 50 when India are 89/1 after 18 overs.

Earlier Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first. With Prithvi Shaw, KL Rahul opened for India but he went to the pavilion on the duck as he scored zero runs.
