Indecent remarks on female journalist Eilidh Barbour, SFWA apologizes

Amidst the awards ceremony organized by the Scottish Football Writers' Association, Scottish female journalist Elidh Barbour was so upset by the obscene remarks that she left the ceremony midway. Not only this, more women journalists came forward to leave the ceremony with Barbour. If the matter escalated, SFWA has also demanded an apology on the incident.

The Scottish Football Writers' Association, apologizing over the entire incident, said in a statement that - We apologize for the objectionable terminology used by some speakers at the association's annual awards dinner last night. We have unanimously agreed that we will review the format of future events and try to improve upon it. Let us tell you that Bill Copeland, a former criminal defense attorney and keynote speaker of the awards, made objectionable remarks on Elidh Barbour, but which has not been confirmed yet.

Who is Elidh Barbour?: Born in Perthshire, Scotland, Barbour is also known as a Scottish television presenter and reporter. She became the presenter of STV Rugby in the 2011–12 season. Barbour first gained national attention when he became a pitchside reporter in the first round of an FA Cup match in the midst of an episode of the final score. In 2017 she was not the presenter of the women's football show.
