NEW DELHI: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' motorcycle rally on Friday at the Pragati Maidan venue in Delhi. The event witnessed the active participation of Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy, Anurag Thakur, and Shobha Karandlaje. In order to ensure widespread outreach of the campaign and encourage extensive public participation ('Jan Bhagidari'), a 'Tiranga' bike rally involving Members of Parliament and government ministers is scheduled for the morning of August 11th at Pragati Maidan. Moreover, following the flag-off ceremony, the bike rally will proceed to the India Gate circle. The route will encompass a circular path around the India Gate complex, traversing the Kartavya Path, and will conclude at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium. The ongoing AKAM celebration commemorates 75 illustrious years of India's progress as an independent nation. This initiative by the Government of India seeks to spotlight the freedom struggle and the significant milestones achieved by the nation, as stated by the ministry. "The underlying aim of this campaign is to foster a sense of patriotism within the populace and reflect upon India's journey and the contributions made by individuals in shaping this great nation. Last year, the campaign garnered immense success, with millions of households physically hoisting the 'Tiranga' at their homes, and six crore individuals uploading selfies on the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' website," the statement highlighted.
