Shikhar Dhawan back in form, his innings led India A to win the ODI series against South Africa

New Delhi: Indian team opener and batsman Shikhar Dhawan has scored his second consecutive half-century against South Africa A, playing a brilliant inning. With this performance, India A defeated South Africa A by 36 runs. India A won the five-match ODI series by 4–1. The fifth ODI was reduced to 20-20 overs due to rain. India A won the toss and decided to bat first.

India chose to bat first. India A scored 204 for 4 wickets in 20 overs to the half-century innings of opener batsman Shikhar Dhawan and Sanju Samson. Dhawan scored 51 runs on 36 balls while Sanju Samson scored 91 off 48 balls in this match. Dhawan hit five fours and two sixes in his innings while Sanju hit six fours and seven sixes in his innings.

India A captain Shreyas Iyer scored 36 off 19 balls. In West Indies tour Dhawan gave a poor performance and his form was not good there. After this, the selectors were asked to play for India A. He got a chance to play the last two ODIs against South Africa A. That is, Dhawan, scored 52 runs in the fourth ODI against this team, while scoring his second consecutive fifty in the fifth ODI, he scored 51 runs and regained his form.
