New Delhi: Corona is wreaking havoc in India. According to the coronavirus data released on Monday by the Union Ministry of Health, 45,903 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. 490 Corona patients have died in the last 24 hours. The number of people recovering from this disease has reached beyond 79 lakhs, after which the national recovery rate has reached 92.56 percent. The total coronavirus cases in the country have risen to 85,53,657 lakhs and the death toll has gone up to 1,26,611, while the death rate has fallen by 1.48 percent. The number of active cases of coronavirus has been recorded below 6 lakh for the tenth consecutive day. According to the data, there are 5,09,673 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country, which is 5.96 percent of the total cases. According to data released by ICMR, a total of 11,85,72,192 samples have been tested, while 8,35,401 samples have been tested till 08 November. The ministry said in a statement on its website that "our data is being aligned with the Indian Council of Medical Research".
