India successfully tested Agni-Prime missile in Odisha, know its specialty

Bhubaneswar: India has successfully tested Agni-Prime, a new Agni series missile off the odisha coast, at 10.55 am today. The missile has been manufactured by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The state-of-the-art Agni Prime has been developed with state-of-the-art technologies used in agni 4 and 5000 km range Agni 5 missile with a range of 4000 km.

The missile can hit upto 1500 km. Agni Prime missile based on stage and solid fuel is guided by advanced ring laser nonscope based navigation system. The guided system of this missile is equipped with electro mechanical acuter. Unlike single stage Agni 1, double stage Agni Prime can be launched from both road and mobile launcher.

Let us tell you that Agni Prime is a low-weight missile because of its use of state-of-the-art technology. It has a higher range of firepower than the previous ones. India first test-fired medium range ballistic missile Agni 1 in 1989. According to sources, Agni 1 will now be replaced by Agni Prime, with five Agni series missiles successfully developed and tested in India.
