New Delhi: In view of the increasing tension between India and Nepal on the border dispute, security has been increased along the Nepal border in the Gaurifanta police station area under the Lakhimpur Kheri district. The SSB has also increased security around the Indian pillars along the Indo-Nepal border. About 120 km border of Lakhimpur Kheri district is contiguous with the open border of Kanchanpur and Kailali district in Nepal district. People from this border keep coming to India Nepal. Before the lockdown was implemented to prevent infection of the Corona epidemic, the survey of the pillars along the Indo-Nepal border was going on with the officials of both countries. Due to lockdown, the survey work was stopped. In a letter written by Munna Singh, SSB Commandant of the 39th Battalion, posted on the Indo-Nepal border to Gaurifanta, to Lakhimpur Kheri District Collector Shailendra Kumar Singh, it has been said that many Indian pillars on the Indo-Nepal border are missing. After this, the District Magistrate has alerted all the security agencies along the Indo-Nepal border and has issued orders to protect the Indian pillars. Relations between India and Nepal have become tense after Nepal declared three areas of India as its territory.
