Indian Army Soldier Reported Missing in Kulgam, Blood found in his car

Srinagar: On Sunday, police officials revealed that a 25-year-old Indian Army soldier, Javed Ahmad Wani, has gone missing from Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir. Wani, a resident of Achathal area in Kulgam, was on leave from his posting in the Ladakh region when he disappeared on Saturday evening. Later, his car was discovered in Paranhall at around 8 PM. In response, security forces have launched an extensive search operation to locate the missing soldier.

Reports have surfaced, citing Wani's family, claiming that he was kidnapped from his vehicle in Kulgam district. However, the police have not yet confirmed these abduction claims. According to reports, Wani had gone to Chowalgam to buy groceries, but he didn't return home, prompting his family to initiate a search in nearby areas and surrounding villages. During the search, his slippers and blood stains were found in his car in Paranhal village.

This incident comes after a similar tragic event last year, where the banned terror outfit Lashker-e-Taiba abducted and killed army soldier Sameer Ahmad Malla. Malla's body was discovered in an orchard in Budgam district, Jammu and Kashmir. The investigation pointed to a local villager named Ather Illahi Sheikh, who had lured Malla into a meeting. It was revealed that Sheikh was associated with the banned terror group. Upon reaching the meeting point, Malla encountered three other terrorists, including the mastermind, Yusuf Kantoo. During questioning, Sheikh confessed that the terrorists had stayed at his house on March 6.

Following a well-planned conspiracy, the terrorists called Sameer Ahmad Malla to Sheikh's residence, where he was kidnapped by all four of them. Later, Malla was taken to the location where he was ultimately killed. The police statement explained that after the murder, Sheikh used a shovel from his house to bury Malla's body, which was later recovered by the investigating team.

Authorities are actively investigating the disappearance of Javed Ahmad Wani and are determined to apprehend those responsible, considering the grave incident involving a fellow soldier last year.
