Indian Cricket Team Celebrates T20 World Cup Win with PM Modi

The Indian Cricket Team, fresh off their victorious campaign at the T20 World Cup, arrived at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, the official residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to commemorate their triumph.

This morning, the team landed at Delhi airport amidst cheers from fans and officials. Captain Rohit Sharma, proudly holding the T20 World Cup trophy, was spotted celebrating with dance at the airport. His teammate Suryakumar Yadav also joined in, dancing to Punjabi tunes. 

Welcoming them were BCCI secretary Jay Shah and President Roger Binny. At the hotel, Rohit Sharma cut a special cake adorned with the team India’s official jersey to mark their victory.

Later, the players proceeded to the Prime Minister’s residence where Modi congratulated them on their exceptional performance. He praised their dedication, teamwork, and resilience which led to this remarkable achievement.

Known for his avid interest in sports, Modi hosted a meal for the entire team. India secured their second T20 World Cup by defeating South Africa in the final. Previously, under MS Dhoni's leadership in 2007, India had clinched the inaugural T20 World Cup.

Later today, the BCCI plans a victory parade with the players in Mumbai.
