This Indian cricketer died due to not wearing a helmet

New Delhi: Indian cricket has given its fans hundreds of occasions to celebrate, but there are some such incidents that were heartbreaking. One such incident is related to Raman Lamba, which makes everyone's eyes moist by remembering. Today (2 January) is the birth anniversary of the same dashing cricketer. Raman Lamba was born on this day in 1960. He played four Tests and 32 ODIs for India.

Raman Lamba was an aggressive batsman. He made a brilliant debut in an international career in 1986. But destiny snatched this player from Indian cricket at the age of just 38. Raman Lamba was playing on behalf of Bangladesh Cricket Club Abahani Krira Chakra in Dhaka on 20 February 1998. The club faced Mohammedan Sporting. Lamba was standing in the catching position very close to the batsman at the time of fielding. The batsman shot a fast shot. The ball hit the head of Raman Lamba, who was not wearing a helmet at that time. He was immediately admitted to the hospital. But the injury was so deep that his life could not be saved. He died on the third day in the hospital.
