Indian currency falls down by 12 paisa in starting trade

The Indian currency or Rupee has lowered down by 12 paisa to 66.83 in early trade today.

According to the forex dealers said, “strength in the dollar against some other currencies overseas on the prospects of higher US rates also weighed on the rupee, but a higher opening in the domestic equity market meant the losses were limited”

However, the BSE Sensex go up further by 129.61 points, or 0.26 %,to 27,803.21 in early trade today.
