An Indian family with seven members has claimed that they are living as prisoners in Sharjah. He pleaded for help from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government. On the news of the media, it was said on Friday that he was given legal status to get rid of the fear of arrest and deportation. According to the news of 'Khaleej Times', three people in the family do not have a visa and passport. They told that they do not have enough food and they have also had days when they have to live on a Kaabos (Arabic bread). It was told in the news that Kerala's Madhusudanan (60) and his Sri Lankan wife Rohini (55) said that they want their children to get a normal life who has never gone to school in their life. It said that they had four daughters Ashwathi (29), Sangeeta (25), Shanti (23) and Gauri (21) and a son Mithun (21). The son is unemployed and lives with his parents in Sharjah, in a dilapidated two-room house. Madhusudanan said, "I could not enroll my five children in school because they had illegal status. They did not even have passports. He did not travel outside the UAE except for a day. They have suffered terrible pain. I want children to get a better life." Rohini said "Children are afraid to go out. We are living like prisoners. I sacrificed my life for my family for 30 years. My children deserve better." Madhusudanan came to UAE in 1979 as a worker and he married Rohini in 1988.
