Indian Government to provide 'Winter Diesel' to Army deployed in Ladakh

Leh: When the temperature below 20 to 30 degrees below zero, the soldiers of our country are still ready to watch these peaks. In the cold weather, the duty of army personnel in Leh-Ladakh is very difficult. The movement becomes in minus 30-degree temperature.

In this shivering cold, normal diesel also stops working and it starts to freeze. In this situation, the movement of soldiers becomes difficult. The Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest oil company, has brought a special diesel for the Indian Army to relieve the army personnel from this problem. It is known as Winter Diesel. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has asked the Director-General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) of the Indian Army to allow the use of winter diesel. The IOC claims that this diesel works in minus 30-degree temperatures as well.

Winter Diesel is a special kind of fuel. It has been developed by the IOC last year for use in high altitude areas off the coast. In these areas, when the mercury drops below zero to 20 to 30 degrees, the flow of normal diesel stops.
