Indian GOVT takes back FAME subsidies from mild hybrid cars

The Indian government is not only promoting online payments but along with that, it is promoting electric cars. Recently, Indian government spotted promoting electric cars under the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) Scheme.

Recently, a news came that government has taken back its FAME scheme from the mild hybrid cars. The FAME scheme was introduced in the year of 2015, when it has offered discounts on hybrid vehicles up to Rs 29,000 for two-wheelers and Rs 1.38 lakh four wheelers.

Withdrawing the scheme back would affect the price of Maruti Suzuki, the Ertiga, and Ciaz. However, Ciaz variant has recently moved under the Nexa chain.
