Indian Paddler Sathiyan to be in action in Poland

Indian paddler world no:32 Sathyan G said with the Polish Table Tennis League next week he will go in action which was hampered by the corona virus outbreak and the followed lockdown. He will leave India on October 15 to play in polish TT league. Before his flight, Sathyan undergoes a COVID-19 test today. If the tests results are negative, he will be allowed to fly in Air France airlines, the official approval was got after constant efforts and will not have quarantine period.

The paddler had expressed his joy on flying to Poland for TT league after 7 months and 10 days. The league begins on October 16 at Gdansk. He said “I will finally be flying out to Poland on Oct 15th to take part in the Polish Superliga competition after a gap of seven months for my club Sokolow S.A. Jaroslaw and training as well”. He is confident of his hard training with the coach Raman. Sathyan has been signed for Polish Side Sokolow S A Jarsoslaw in July. On Friday he will play his maiden match for the superliga. He is planning to rust out the international action and said will be deploying the new skills and techniques he has learnt from his coach during the lockdown.  

Sathiyan has already missed four matches in the polish league and the remaining four will be played in the second week of October at Gdansk. On his return to India, he has to apply for VISA to Japan league starting on November 15. Sathiyan is the first Indian to sign for Japan’s premier table tennis league – the T League that starts in November. He is an Asian Games Medalist and first to enter top 25.
