The railways have extended the period of postponement of tickets booked from the railway counter during the lockdown caused by Corona and to get their refund. According to the news given by the railway, the time limit for postponing PRS counter tickets and getting a refund from any counter has been increased from 6 months to 9 months. According to Indian Railways, refunds will be received for tickets from those who booked tickets for the journey between March 21, 2020, to July 31, 2020. Meaning if you had booked a train ticket for 30 July, you can get a refund by postponing it till April. This rule will be applicable only on the tickets purchased for those trains which were postponed by the railways with a fixed timetable. Railways said that even in the event of postponement of counter tickets through helpline number 139 or IRCTC portal, the time limit for submission of tickets at any railway counter has been extended up to 9 months from the date of journey. Explain that the railways had stopped the services of trains from 22 March in view of the Corona crisis. After which the Railway issued a guideline regarding postponement and refund of fares in view of the epidemic due to Corona.
