Indian Railways to clone train to avoid long waiting list

Indian Railways are running special trains to facilitate people commutation easy during festival times. Even with increased number of trains, passengers still find hard to get confirm tickets. The special trains long waiting lists indicates many passengers are facing trouble in getting confirmed seats for their travel.  According to Indian Railways, 327 trains running currently have waiting list.

However, the Railway Ministry to provide stress free travel is taking necessary steps to solve the issue of long queues. Few possible solutions are increasing the number of trains where the waiting list is maximum. Currently the number of tickets is being analysed thoroughly by officials. In the route where the waiting list is maximum, Indian Railways is also planning to run more trains on busiest routes, IR may operate extra trains on these routes after analysing data.

Railways may run clone trains on busy routes. A clone train is like a copy of the running train, with the same number like the actual train. For example, New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express has all the seats got reserved and there is a long of waitlisted passengers. Indian Railways may put another rake of the same train with the same number in order to provide confirm seats to waitlisted ticket-holders. After the preparation of the reservation charts for the original scheduled trains the waitlist passengers will be informed about their conformed berths in the clone train.
