Prematured Monsoon arrives in India, heavy rain alert issued in several states

New Delhi: Monsoon has entered Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, monsoon is likely to take early entry in several north Indian states including Delhi. According to the Met department, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab may receive monsoon rain in a day or two. According to the Met department, delhi will have a premature monsoon this time. Monsoon in Delhi can take entry 12 days before the normal date. Meanwhile, with the onset of monsoon, rain has started in UP. The Met department has issued high alert in several districts.

The monsoon has hit UP ahead of its time this year. According to the Met department, rain may occur in different districts of UP for the next 4 to 5 days. Moderate and heavy rain has been predicted in eastern UP, the Met department has issued a yellow alert for rain in eastern UP. Western UP are also likely to receive thundershowers. Several districts of UP have been receiving intermittent rain for the past 24 hours.

According to the Met department, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh today. Meanwhile, heavy rain is expected in Telangana, Kerala, Goa and Karnataka. In addition, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan may receive light to moderate rainfall.
