Kathmandu: India is going to give Nepal a big gift today amidst the border dispute between India and Nepal. The train service between India and Nepal is now going to start soon. Today, India is going to provide two pairs of train engines and coach as a gift to Nepal. The train will go from Jayanagar in Bihar to Kurwas in Nepal. The engines will be handed over to Nepal on Friday to revive the railway link between Jayanagar in Bihar and Kurwas in Nepal. Goods trains will also run along with the passenger trains on this route. The railway department director-general Balram Mishra said that "The set will be given to Nepal by the Konkan Railway of the country on 18th September". In a media interaction, Balram Mishra said that it reached Jayanagar in India last evening. It will go to Kurwas in Janakpur, Nepal. He said that so far, we have not faced any technology or other issues. Further, the officer said that Nepalese railway officers have reached Janakpur on Thursday. The new set of railways purchased from Konkan company is expected to dock at Janakpur sub-station at around 3 pm on Friday afternoon. As the train is scheduled to reach its destination in Nepal, there is security at all points. Mishra further said, "Today we will hand over the train set. There are no other formal or any kind of functions, but the officers of Konkan railway will arrive today".
