IndiGo flight diverted to Bengaluru due to technical glitch

Andhra Pradesh: An IndiGo flight from Rajahmundry to Tirupati, which had 70 people on board, including actor-turned-politician and YSRCP MP RK Roja, had to be diverted to Bengaluru, on Tuesday afternoon, December 14.

IndiGo stated in a press statement, "Due to technical issues, IndiGo flight 6E 7265 from Rajahmundry to Tirupati was diverted to Bangalore. After maintenance checks, the passengers were offered refreshments on board and the flight was released. Some passengers requested to disembark from the plane and were rebooked on the next available flight or escorted out of the airport. Passengers who chose to self-offload at Bangalore airport were not charged any fees."

While the airline has not commented on the situation, Nagari MLA Roja has updated her status on social media. She released a video in which she stated that the plane's doors remained shut and that passengers were waiting for more information on their flight's status. Around 10.55 a.m., the IndiGo 6E 7265 flight was due to arrive at Tirupati's Renigunta airport.
