World Champion PV Sindhu On Wednesday reached the second round of Indonesia Masters 500 tournament after a struggling win over Japan's Aya Ohori here but former champion Saina Nehwal has suffered a upset in the first round and has been eliminated. In men's singles, the challenge of World Championship bronze medalists B Sai Praneeth, Kidambi Srikanth and Saurabh Verma also ended. Fifth seed PV Sindhu came back after trailing by a game, winning 14-21 21-15 21-11 over Ohori. Sindhu has yet to face defeat in the clash that took place with the number 20 Japanese player in the world. Now Sindhu will face Sayaka Takahashi of Japan who defeated Saina in the second round. Sindhu has been ranked better in the second round. Saina, who won the tournament last year, continues to have a poor round, losing 21–19, 13–21, 5–21 to Takahashi in a 50-minute match. Saina, who won a bronze medal at the London Olympics 2012, only reached the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Masters last week.
