Indore: Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Rajendra Marmat, who was posted at Chhatripura police station, died of a corona infection. According to the information, ASI Rajendra Marmat was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city after he tested positive for COVID19 a week ago. His wife and son are undergoing treatment in the hospital as they were also tested positive. Marmat died during the treatment around 5.30 am. ASI Marmat was infected during duty after which he was admitted to the hospital. His colleagues were in his contact when Marmat was undergoing treatment in the hospital. Marmat had got both of his vaccine doses. Also, he was given Remdesivir injection in the hospital but he could not be saved. The Police force of the police station paid him tributes. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, 'sad news has been received of the death of the sub-inspector Shri Rajendra Kumar Marmatji posted at Chhatripura police station in Indore. May God grant the departed soul peace and support to the family to bear this profound sorrow.'
