Indore Crime branch arrested six armed men while they were planning to rob a petrol pump in Khajrana area on Thursday. The accused confessed to committing theft at three places in the city and the crime branch recovered the stolen goods from them. The crime branch, ASP Guruprasad Parashar said a tip-off was received that some men carrying arms were seen near the service road on Bypass under Khajrana police station jurisdiction. After the information, the crime branch along with Khajrana police station staff searched the men and managed to arrest them from the area. The accused were identified as Akram Khan of Taj Nagar, Arif Ujjaini, Shahbaz, Chhotu, Mohsin and Sultan. A country-made firearm, a live cartridge, knife, iron etc were recovered from them. They allegedly confessed to planning for a robbery there. During interrogation, the accused also confessed to commit thefts in Chhatripura, Palasia and Tukoganj area of the city. The police have also recovered some stolen goods from them. The accused are being questioned for other such crimes.
