International Court of Justice to hold public hearings in Kulbhushan Jadhav case today

In the  Kulbhushan Jadhav case, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will be holding public hearings today. On the death sentence given ti him by the Pakistan, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) had put a stay on May 9.

The development came after India instituted proceedings against Pakistan, accusing the latter of "egregious violations of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations" in the matter of detention and trial of Jadhav, and sought a stay on his death sentence.

For the consular access to Jadhav, the Pakistan has turned down 16 requests from India.
