IPL 2023: UP Police's entry in Kohli-Gambhir's fight, will action be taken now?

Lucknow: The heated debate between former Team India captain Virat Kohli and veteran player Gautam Gambhir after the IPL match on Monday (May 1) is in headlines. People are increasingly sharing this video on social media. This whole incident happened during the match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and RCB at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Now UP Police has entered in this dispute. The police tweeted on its official Twitter handle that, 'No issue is huge and serious for us. Dial 112 immediately in case of any emergency.' The UP police further wrote that, 'Avoid arguments, not calling us. Dial 112 in case of any emergency.' In fact, after the match, some heated arguments were witnessed between Kohli and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir. Players of both the teams had to come to the rescue. First Gambhir pulled a Lucknow player who was talking to Kohli towards him and away from Kohli. Videos have surfaced on social media in which Kohli and Gambhir are seen arguing.

Lucknow's mentor Gambhir is seen expressing his displeasure over something said by Kohli, after which the LSG players stopped their former teammate from moving forward. However, both Kohli and Gambhir have been fined 100 per cent of their match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct, while Lucknow bowler Naveen has been fined 50 per cent of his match fees.
