Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh government yesterday transferred three senior IPS officers. According to an official release, "Director General (Security) Gopal Gupta has been made DG, Prisons, Prison administration and welfare services".
It added that, ADG Prison Devendra Singh Chauhan has been sent to CBCID replacing Sanjay Tarde, who has been sent to Police Training School (PTS) in Gorakhpur.
These are routine transfers.
