Iran reports COVID-19 related death 1 in every 4 minutes

The deadly coronavirus is threatening lives everywhere around the world. It touched every nook and corner in the World Map, Iran is no different. Another wave of COVID-19 prevails in the country and is registering a coronavirus related death every four minutes. The health authorities report that hospitals are increasingly becoming occupied, and are running out of beds to treat new patients.

The Iran country's head of the coronavirus task force told the state TV that the healthcare workers are increasingly "tired", and urges everyone to follow protocols. As of now, the hardest hit Middle East country is Iran. The country has reported 337 deaths, and 5,960 new cases in 24 hours on Monday, 337 deaths meant one in every four minutes. The Health authorities have already warned people of serious consequences if social distancing norms are continually defied. Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi last week revealed a prediction that the death count could go up to 600 a day owing to poor social distancing. 

Telangana: 582 new corona cases, four deaths reported

Schools, shops, restaurants, mosques and other institutions in the country have remained shut, with the restrictions earlier slated to end yesterday, but  due to increase in cases the lockdown has been extended until November 20. Out of the country's 31 provinces in Iran, 21 are currently on a coronavirus red alert. The Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat said Iran's death toll has risen to 32,953, and the total number of cases stand at 574,856.
