ISL 6: Coro strike earns Goa 4-3 win over Chennayin FC

FC Goa On Thursday beat the hosts and two-time champions Chennayin FC 4-3 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here to once again top the points table of the sixth season of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL). This was the ninth match of the host Chennai FC. This team is eighth in the table of 10 teams with two wins, three defeats and an equal number of draws. On the other hand, it was Goa's 10th match. The Goa team topped the table with 21 points with six wins, three draws and one defeat. This is Goa's fourth consecutive win. Goa has become the first team to win the most 6 wins this season.

For Goa, Ahmed Zhao scored 26th, Brendan Fernandes 41st, Hugo Boumos 45th and Ferran Corominas scored in the 63rd minute, while Andre Shembri scored 57th, Rafael Crivellaro scored 59th and 91st for the hosts. The first half of this match with half a dozen goals was completely in Goa's name. He won the match in a respectable manner with a 3–0 lead. In the beginning of this half, Chennai FC showed good will and challenged Goa on several occasions but after the first half time it took a knee. Taking advantage of this, Goa scored three goals one after the other for themselves.

Goa were probably not allowed to lose three points on the verge of victory in the second half and that is why it intensified the attack. Boumos and Corso made a move in the 63rd minute, scoring a goal on which Corso made it 4–2. Boumos gave Corso a through ball, which he took to the box and scored a goal. This is Coro's seventh goal this season. After this there was fierce competition between the two teams on the field. During this time some changes took place and some cards were also shown as the atmosphere warmed. The Chennai team, who were on a par, brought the thrill to the match by scoring their third goal in the 91st minute with the help of Crivellaro.
