New Delhi: Radio Jockey (RJ) Saima of Radio Mirchi has declared it a constitutional right by advocating for prayers in public places and streets in Gurugram. Referring to Article 25 of the Constitution, she said that the Constitution of India guarantees "freedom of religion" for every citizen here. She claimed that under this every Indian is entitled to the freedom of their conscience. Sima also claimed that they can follow and propagate their religion. RJ Saima also said that no one is asking the government to build a mosque. Saima said this while replying to a tweet by Apoorvanand, Professor of Hindi at Delhi University, in which she accused Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar of speaking the 'language of goons' and claimed that Gurugram has 42 temples and 18 gurdwaras. Permission was given, but the mosque is the same. She objected to why Muslims are being questioned as to why they are offering Namaz in the open. Political analyst PN Rai replied to her that the Wakf Board has a lot of lands across the city. He explained that temples and gurudwaras are not built on government land. He wrote, 'Who stopped? Muslims also buy land, build mosques and you give money. Government land and road are not for offering prayers. Khattar Saheb should have taken this decision long ago. Apurvananda claimed that Muslims do not get land even after giving money.
