Aritra Mukherjee is on top of the world as his directorial debut movie 'Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti' is selected for the Indian Panorama section of International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. Film ‘Avijatrik’ is the other movie from the two Bengali feature films which are selected. The young director Aritra thank his mentors Nandita Roy and Shibhoprasad Mukherjee for giving him the platform to make his dream come true. Talking about this achievement, the excited filmmaker said, "I am very happy that my first film Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti has been selected in the prestigious Indian Panorama. When I started dreaming of making my first film, my mentors Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee inspired and motivated me so much. I am really grateful to my entire team of Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti without whom this would not have been possible. Thank you for believing in this film and also for trusting a new director.” Talking about the film and its achievement, filmmaker's mentor Nandita Roy said that she is very happy and her heart is filled with pride that her team has made it to the prestigious Indian Panorama. The film features Kabir Singh fame Soham Majumder and Ritabhari Chakraborty in the lead. The cast also includes Manasi Sinha and Subhasish. The film is scripted by Zinia Sen which talks about breaking stereotypes about women and also questions the gender imbalance in society.
