J&K: Unprovoked shelling and firing occurred across LoC

Jammu: On Tuesday, unprovoked shelling and firing occurred on Indian positions on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region’s Rajouri district.

According to the defence sources, “The shelling and firing in the Naushera sector began at 8.30 p.m. on Monday night and continued till 1.30 a.m. on Tuesday”.

“They used 82 mm mortars and automatics. No damage or casualties were reported”, sources added. On Sunday, the Pakistani troops carried out a firing in the same area in which one soldier was killed.
