Jaguar Land Rover 's UK sales skids 23pc in November

Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd, reported a nearly 22.8% on-year fall in UK sales to 6,326 units in November. While sales of Jaguar cars dropped by 19.3% from the year-ago period to 1,964 units, those of Land Rover slipped by 24.3% to 4,632 units, data released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders showed. The UK car market saw a decline of 27.4% year-on-year in new registrations in November to 42,840 units, as showrooms had to be shut due to new lockdown restrictions triggered by COVID-19, the automotive body said. Demand for private cars fell 32.2% on year while registrations by large fleets saw a decline of 22.1%, it added.
