Army's 'Tandava' in J&Amp;K, 3 dreaded terrorists killed in TRF, operation underway

Srinagar: Security forces have gunned down three terrorists of the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) - The Resistance Front (TRF) in an encounter in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, On Tuesday. Security forces had received input of the militants hiding in a house on Monday evening after which the jawans launched a search operation. Three terrorists were killed by security forces after militants opened fire on the security forces.

Police said three Lashkar (TRF) terrorists have been killed. Offensive materials, weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from the terrorists and searches are on.' The slain terrorists include Mukhtar Shah of Ganderbal, who killed a Bihar labourer in Kulgam. Three terrorists were surrounded by security forces in Tulran village of Shopian on Monday and asked them to surrender but the terrorists refused to possess weapons. The militants then started firing after which they were killed by security forces in an encounter.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 5 jawans, including an Army JCO, were killed in an attack by terrorists in Poonch. A group of security forces had reached pir panjal forests for an operation in search of the militants after receiving intelligence inputs where militants ambushed them, killing 5 jawans.
