J&K: Two terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in Anantnag

Srinagar: Two terrorists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said on Saturday. Jammu and Kashmir Police have told about this encounter that intelligence information revealed that terrorists are hiding in this area. After this, the security forces surrounded the entire area from all sides and started the search operation. During this search operation, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the soldiers retaliated and killed two terrorists.

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Anantnag on Monday (October 10) morning. Security forces killed militants in the Tangpawa area of this south Kashmir district. However, it is not yet known which terrorist organization the slain terrorists belonged to, nor has any terrorist organization claimed responsibility for these terrorists. Earlier on October 5, security forces killed 4 terrorists in an encounter with terrorists in South Kashmir's Shopian. Of the slain terrorists, 3 were from Jaish-e-Mohammed and 1 from Lashkar-e-Taiba. At the same time, on September 29, some terrorists were arrested, in which they admitted that they were associated with the banned terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. A large number of arms and ammunition were recovered from these terrorists.
