Jammu and Kashmir: BJP worker shot dead by terrorists

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activist Abdul Hameed shot dead by terrorists on Sunday morning in Ompora area of Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The militants entered Abdul Hameed's house and shot him and escaped. Abdul Hameed has been admitted to the hospital for treatment in a critical condition. The police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and have cordoned off the area and started searching for terrorists.

While giving information, the SSP of Budgam has said that Abdul Hamid Nazar, the district president of BJP's OBC Morcha, has been attacked by the terrorists, after which he has been admitted to the hospital in a wounded state. On August 4, a day before the first anniversary of the removal of Section 370 and Article 35A, terrorists shot and injured BJP sarpanch Arif Ahmed in Mir Bazaar, Kulgam.

Earlier, BJP worker Wasim Bari was also shot dead in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir. In which, along with Wasim, his father Bashir Ahmed and his brother Umar Bashir were also fired. All three were admitted to the hospital in an injured condition, but all three died before treatment began.
